The Departments of Spanish and Foreign languages and AMPA are conducting a LITERARY COMPETITION on Christmas Tales for the students of IES LA CALA DE MIJAS, with the following rules:
1. All texts will be original in English/Spanish/French
2. Maximum 2 pages A4 size on one side.
3. We will value positively decorations and pictures on the tales, on occasion of Christmas.
4. All texts will be signed with a pseudonym, together with an envelope with the same pseudonym written on it. Inside this envelope, the details of the student participating will appear (name, surnames, year and group). All tales handed must comply with this rule to enter the competition.
5. The tales will be handed to any of your language teachers (Spanish, English, French).
6. Students participating will send a digital copy of the original text to bibliotecaieslacalademijas@gmail.com
7. The deadline is Tuesday, 14 December 2010.
- The winners will be announced on 22 December during break at the Library.
- Prizes: there will be two categories, one for 1st cycle ESO and one for
2nd cycle and BACHILLERATO, and first and second prize within each category. The prize will consist of a gift voucher to buy school materials:
- 1º PRIZE CHRISTMAS TALE: 40 E
- 2º PRIZE CHRISTMAS TALE: 20 E
The jury will be composed by teachers of the Spanish and Foreign Language Departments and two members of the school AMPA, who will value the effort of those students who have written in a language other than their mother or first language.
TALES SUBJECT MATTER: any Christmas aspect, not just the typical love message but also consumers society, excessive advertising and media influence. We propose these two subject modalities:
a. The typical Christmas messages of love.
b. Our responsibility as consumers.
